In the midterm plan (FY2021-23), Roland DG set a goal to pioneer the future by focusing on “Digital and Cocreation”. This plan focuses primarily on transforming the organization into a lean and agile one and reorganizing the portfolio of the business. This includes examination of growth investments through M&A to establish new core businesses. Roland DG decided to purchase a 50.1% stake of UAB Dimense Print, a subsidiary company of UAB VEIKA. This subsidiary excels in chemical technologies and offers a unique solution for digital embossing in the wallpaper industry. Roland DG is now able to officially enter the wallpaper market. Although the digitalization of wallpaper hasn’t yet reached its full potential, the growing demand for personalized products and upcoming market growth present the ideal opportunity. The embossing process has a lot of potential because it can give texture and depth to printed products, like gypsum moldings. Roland DG aims to strengthen the presence in the wallpaper market through the continued development, sales, and support of DIMENSE™ and Ecodeco™, both proprietary technologies of UAB Dimense print. Roland DG will leverage UAB VEIKA’s excellent technical capabilities, combine them with Roland DG’s manufacturing experience and global-scale distribution network, and drive the development and sale of new, unique, high-value digital printing products.
