The Hostory Behind HP Printer Ink Cartridges

Hewlett Packard or HP is the most prominent manufacturer of consumer electronic items and peripherals. The US-based company is located in Palo Alto in Silicon Valley near San Francisco. It was founded by Bill Hewlett, Dave Packard and their mutual partnership. Their first product was an audio oscillator. This device was used by Walt Disney to test the technology during production of Fantasia.

The humble beginnings of the company in 1939 led to it becoming a well-respected brand and a respected brand for its quality products. The company’s success is due to the way it has been organized, starting from scratch with a customer-oriented ethos. According to management, they care more about making a difference in the world than just making money.

In the beginning, they focused on more diverse types of measurement and testing devices. Eventually, they expanded into calculator manufacturing. The company is known for producing the first mass-market personal computer device in 1968. It was named a desktop calculator due to its indistinguishability from the IBM business computers. 1984 saw their first inkjet- and laser printers. As they were also rapidly moving into software development, the laser jet printers rely heavily on Cannon and Xerox designs. The business was still primarily focused on research institutes, universities, and business users at that time, and not the general consumer.

Since 1990, HP has developed a vast product range. Compaq was acquired in 2002. This allowed HP to capture a significant portion of the personal computing market. HP now offers a variety of printers, scanners. Calculators, PDAs. Personal computers, laptops, servers and HP toner cartridges. It is also known for its lightscribe device, which allows you to print images onto CDs using a CD-ROM drive.

The company is now split into several sub sectors with HP imaging and printing handling all aspects of their popular photosmart line of products that includes printers, scanners, digital cameras, wireless devices and also combined printer/scanner/copiers, and of course the associated consumables like HP ink cartridges.

HP toner cartridges provide exceptional quality when used with their associated devices. The recognition of the cartridge by the device has helped HP keep its market for these consumables. Because of the ease of online marketing and the cost savings associated, HP cartridges remain affordable. Most people would prefer to use the manufacturer’s recommended option for the best printing results.
