Delhi is being protected in a way that has never been seen before ahead of the G20 Summit scheduled for September 9-10. At key locations such as the G20 Summit venue, airports and train stations, anti-drone systems are installed. These systems are used to detect drones in the immediate vicinity and disable them.

Security measures include:

  • Over 130,000 security personnel including Delhi Police and Central forces deployed.
  • Installing anti-drones systems in key locations.
  • Set up mobile police stations, checkpoints and other security measures in the city.
  • Restriction of the movement and access to vehicles.
  • CCTV cameras, drones and increased surveillance.

Security arrangements were made to counter the threat of terrorism as well as other security threats. The government has taken no risks and put all measures in place to ensure the safety and security of the delegates as well as the public.

Central Delhi Mobile Police Station to Facilitate Public

A mobile police station has been launched by the central Delhi Police in advance of the G20 Summit. The mobile police station is actually a van which has been transformed into a mini-police station. It has all the facilities necessary, including a desk for complaints, a computer and a printer. The mobile station is expected to be placed in areas where there will be heavy traffic restrictions. It will be easier to report complaints or ask for help from the police.

Delhi Police is deploying the mobile police station to enhance the safety of citizens at the G20 summit. The police also deployed more forces in the city and have put in place security measures.

The G20 Summit is an international event to which leaders of the 20 largest economies will be invited. The summit will take place in Delhi between September 9 and 10

Here are some features of a mobile police station.

  • It has a complaint desk and is equipped with an electronic computer.
  • The public address system can be used for broadcasting important messages.
  • CCTV cameras are installed to monitor the area.
  • A generator is installed to make sure that the system can still operate in the event of a power failure.

The mobile police station is staffed with a team that will help the citizens in their time of need. They will be able take complaints, provide assistance, and issue FIRs.

Delhi Police has taken a positive step by introducing the mobile police station. This will contribute to the safety and protection of citizens at the G20 summit. This is also an important step in making the police more available to the public.

Delhi Police’s top official inspects border security

In preparation for the G20 Summit, Special Commissioner (Intelligence), Dependra Patak, an official from the Delhi Police, visited the border areas in the capital to inspect the security measures. He visited the border areas of Ghazipur, Tikri, and Singhu, reviewing the security measures and personnel deployed.

Pathak met with officers from the Delhi Police, as well as other security agencies, to discuss security arrangements. He instructed them to take the necessary steps to ensure safety and security for the delegates as well as the public at the summit.

The G20 Summit in New Delhi is scheduled for September 9 and 10 2023. The leaders of the 20 largest economies in the world will attend.

Delhi Police made elaborate security arrangements to protect the summit. More than 10,000 security personnel, including commandos, police officers, and drones, are expected to be deployed in order to secure the venue as well surrounding areas. Airspace above the summit venue will be restricted.

Delhi Police also released a traffic alert for the summit. On the days of summit, several roads in the city are closed to traffic. The public was advised to avoid using these roads, and instead use public transport.

Delhi Police has no doubt that the G20 Summit will be a major international event. They are doing everything they can to ensure it’s success.
