Balbek Bureau will develop the first school printed on a 3D printer in Ukraine
The architectural bureau Balbek Bureau It will be the first school in Ukraine to be printed on a 3-D printer. It will be an elementary school located in Lviv.
The Team4UA Fund and the Lviv City Council supported the implementation of this project.
The initial plan was for the work to begin in October. However, it was delayed due to the large scale shelling of Ukrainian towns. Construction of the school is expected to begin in spring 2023.
A one-story building will be printed in about a month. For concrete work, the start of work is planned for the first warm spring day in 2023.
“99% of the materials that will be used in construction are of local origin,” Balbek Bureau notes.
